LA Wallet is a convenient mobile application that enables users to securely store a digital version of their Louisiana-issued state ID or driver's license. Complying with Louisiana law Act 625 of the 2016 session, the app generates a unique image that holds full legal validity for driving purposes. Furthermore, the Louisiana ATC has approved its use for age-restricted purchases at various local establishments, including restaurants, bars, and retail outlets.

Once users activate their current and valid license in LA Wallet, they gain access to a digital driver's license that remains valid for as long as their identity credential remains in effect. It is important to note that when the physical license expires, users must renew it through the OMV or, if eligible, via the LA Wallet app.

In addition to these features, LA Wallet also offers a paid service called VerifyYou™ Pro. This tool facilitates age verification for businesses involved in home delivery of age-restricted goods. By utilizing VerifyYou™ Pro, businesses can ensure compliance with the regulations set by the Louisiana ATC.
